Looking to hire: Associate Counsel
Team: Legal Department
PQE: 3-5 years
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial contracts, such as customer and vendor agreements, consulting agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
- Provide legal guidance and support to business stakeholders on cutting-edge issues such as technology, IP, data protection, as well as on the more traditional commercial, employment, and corporate matters.
- Work with legal tech in-depth, along with your legal skills, to maximise outcomes.
- Collaborate with teams in developing tech offerings that overhaul how legal counsels function.
- Learn about and stay on top of relevant laws, developments in the legal tech industry, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement contract management policies and procedures.
- Support the company in other corporate and commercial work including due diligence, privacy issues and other global regulatory issues that arise.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree – BA LLB
- In-depth understanding of commercial contracts is a must. The candidate should have around least 1 year of experience working as a specialist contracts counsel or a commercial lawyer.
- Experience working with a Contract Lifecycle Management (“CLM”) tool is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in translating contractual language for various departments and stakeholders within the organization.
- Ability to work independently and take initiatives, as well as handle projects based on the requirements of the legal team and business stakeholders.
- Must be based in Bangalore or willing to relocate to Bangalore.
