They are looking for a Legal Executive based out of Mumbai with 7 to 8 years of experience who will be responsible for contract management, legal documentation, data management, risk assessment and ensuring there is compliance with business laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a diverse range of contracts, including strategic partnerships, media service agreements, licensing deals, and other relevant legal documents.
- Ensure all contracts adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, effectively minimizing legal risks and safeguarding the company’s interests.
- Provide insights and support on corporate/business laws, including broadcasting rights, digital content regulations, advertising standards, and intellectual property laws.
- Stay updated with changes in media legislation and regulatory standards, advising the company on compliance and adapting strategies in consultation with the Legal Head.
- Regularly update and maintain the Management Information System (MIS) for accurate decision-making and reporting.
- Work closely with the legal head and other team members, contributing to legal strategies and decisions.
- Assist in handling legal queries and providing timely, effective counsel in support of the company’s operations and strategic goals.
- Collaborate with various departments, offering clear and understandable legal guidance on projects and initiatives.
- Communicate legal concepts effectively to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring comprehension and alignment.
- Proactively identify potential legal risks in business operations and contractual arrangements, suggesting mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular legal audits and reviews under the guidance of the Legal Head to ensure ongoing compliance and risk management.
- Keep informed about emerging trends, technologies, and legal changes in the media industry.
- Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, corporate governance standards, and internal policies.
Qualification:
- LLB & LLM.
- 7-8 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the media industry or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of media laws, contract law, and compliance regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with MIS systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate with a team and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to ethical practice and maintaining professional standards.
