Looking to hire: Litigation Counsel
Eligibility Criteria: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university with a preference for candidates with a PQE of 1-2 years. Candidates with prior litigation or internship experience and an interest in public law, emerging and digital technologies experience will be given a preference. The applicant must be an enrolled advocate and authorised to appear in court.
Key Responsibilities:
- Litigation Management – Draft, review, and file pleadings, coordinate with counsels, and attend court proceedings, including travel if needed.
- Court Centered Advocacy – Track cases, media reports, and RTIs to identify advocacy opportunities and engage with legal networks.
- Collaboration – Work with policy teams, develop legal strategies, guide counsels, and liaise with the Executive Director.
- Administration/ Management – Maintain case records, draft strategy plans, manage grants, and oversee associates and fellows.
- Communications & Community Engagement – Write blogs, create social content, engage with media, represent IFF at events, and author op-eds on digital rights.
