Programme Details:
The Clinic provides legal assistance concerning citizenship and immigration matters, including citizenship determination, asylum/refugee status, deportation, and detention. It also undertakes academic research and policy initiatives aimed at improving access to justice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the Clinic’s research agenda and data collection activities.
• Assist in researching and drafting research outputs.
• Prepare legal briefs on developments in citizenship and immigration law.
• Maintain records of research outputs and coordinate with partner lawyers for case data.
• Publish research-based writings on citizenship and immigration law in India.
• Travel to research sites for data gathering, as required.

Eligibility:

• Bachelor’s degree in law.
• 1–3 years of research or practice experience in Citizenship and Immigration Law.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• A Master’s degree in law or an allied discipline is desirable.

Duration: One year, extendable based on performance.
